Check Point Certified Security Administrator (CCSA) R81.10 Guide (page 663):
"Threat Emulation gives networks the necessary protection against unknown threats in web downloads and e-mail attachments. The Threat Emulation engine picks up malware at the exploit phase, before it enters the network."
