Radius must to be congigured but can be used as well, RADIUS Accounting You can configure an Identity Awareness Gateway to use RADIUS Accounting (RFC 2866) to get user and computer identities directly from a RADIUS Accounting Client. The Identity Awareness Gateway uses this information to apply access permissions to the connection. https://sc1.checkpoint.com/documents/R81/WebAdminGuides/EN/CP_R81_IdentityAwareness_AdminGuide/Topics-IDAG/Identity-Sources-RADIUS-Accounting.htm https://sc1.checkpoint.com/documents/R80.30/WebAdminGuides/EN/CP_R80.30_IdentityAwareness_AdminGuide/html_frameset.htm?topic=documents/R80.30/WebAdminGuides/EN/CP_R80.30_IdentityAwareness_AdminGuide/162361

If you look, "C" is for "A" & "B", NOT "D". RADIUS is an authentication and needs to be PROVIDED an ID, not vend one. Net result, "D" is the only possible choice even though it is not inclusive of the entire list of sources.

Correct is C, even the explanation states it. The application control layer gets its identity sources from multiple sources.
