i think answer is B from CCSA R80 guide: The System Backup and Restore method is used to restore information, which can be restored to a different machine. It functions much the same as the Snapshot backup utility, however it does not impact production.

Backup does not export OS. And snapshot since recent releases does not stop services. So answer is definitely snapshot https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solutionid=sk106127

Answer is D. Snapshots backup the OS and it does NOT impact production. The only time I've seen it cause an impact was when an Admin started a JHF install while the snapshot was still running.

Snapshot Management The snapshot creates a binary image of the entire root (lv_current) disk partition. This includes Check Point products, configuration, and operating system. "without stopping Check Point processes": 8. Comparison of backup methods Does it require to stop Check Point services? Punctuation seems very important here... ...backup copy of the 'OS and Check Point configuration'... - backup ...backup copy of the OS, and Check Point configuration... - Snapshot

The correct answer is D,this is the definition of system backup: System Backup can be used to backup current system configuration. A backup creates a compressed file that contains the Check Point configuration including the networking and operating system parameters, such as routing and interface configuration etc., but unlike a snapshot, it does not include the operating system, product binaries, and hotfixes. It not backup OS level.
