minimal requirement for corexl is 2. with 1 there is no point for corexl. having 1 cpu will not even have corexl option under cpconig.

ans should A which is 2. if you see the manual - Number of Cores Number of Kernel Instances 1 CoreXL is disabled 2 2 4 3 6 - 20 (Number of CPU cores) - 2 More than 20 (Number of CPU cores) - 4 No more than 40 total.
