Exam 156-215.80 topic 1 question 224 discussion

Actual exam question from Checkpoint's 156-215.80
Question #: 224
Topic #: 1
[All 156-215.80 Questions]

You have two rules, ten users, and two user groups in a Security Policy. You create database version 1 for this configuration. You then delete two existing users and add a new user group. You modify one rule and add two new rules to the Rule Base. You save the Security Policy and create database version 2. After a while, you decide to roll back to version 1 to use the Rule Base, but you want to keep your user database. How can you do this?

  • A. Run fwm dbexport -1 filename. Restore the database. Then, run fwm dbimport -1 filename to import the users.
  • B. Run fwm_dbexport to export the user database. Select restore the entire database in the Database Revision screen. Then, run fwm_dbimport.
  • C. Restore the entire database, except the user database, and then create the new user and user group.
  • D. Restore the entire database, except the user database.

Selected Answer: D
voted for D, question is not correct because is obsolete like many others from R77, not for R80+

I would go with option B. A : is not correct because we don't have -l option in fwm dbimport command. C: clearly is not the case D: I don't see any option to restore the entire database except the user database , would be great if someone can clarify that.

However just noticed the B has a command fwm_dbimport which is not the correct command in R80. Probably this question is from R77 exam.

I think B is correct. I don't get what -1 in the command would mean fwm dbimport Description Imports users into the Check Point User Database from an external file. You can create this file yourself, or use a file generated by fwm dbexport. Syntax > fwm dbimport [-m] [-s] [-v] [-r] [-k <errors>] [-f <file>] [-d <delim>]

-l: Create an LDIF format file for importation by an LDAP server. I think it's a little L and not the number 1
