The CoreXL software architecture includes the Secure Network Distributor. The SND is
responsible for processing incoming traffic from the network interfaces, securely accelerating
authorized packets (if SecureXL is running), and distributing non-accelerated packets among
kernel instances. In other words, the SND is essentially a CPU core running both SecureXL
and CoreXL.
