Check Point licenses come in two forms: Central and Local. The Centrallicense is the preferred and recommended method of licensing. This licenseties the package license to the IP address of the Management Server and hasno dependency on the Gateway IP. This means there is only one IP address forall licenses and the license remains valid even if the IP address of the Gatewayis changed. The license can be easily taken from one Security Gateway andgiven to another. You do not need to create and install a new license. CCSA r81 page 181
