Methadone is typically administered orally, reducing the health risks associated with injecting. It is quite a safe drug when administered in correct doses, and the side-effects are not significant, especially when compared to the adverse effects of continued illicit drug use.
methadone can be administered orally AND by injection. I was not able to find, on flashcards or research a reference to injections being more effective . Can someone who has taken the exam advise if a question of this type is on there?
