iPhones use private Wi-Fi addresses (randomized MAC addresses) to enhance privacy by preventing network operators and observers from tracking your device across networks.
If the Private Address feature is turned off for a specific Wi-Fi network, you'll see a Privacy Warning because your actual MAC address is being used, which could expose your device to tracking.
