you can use both ntdsutil and dnscmd to create a custom Active Directory partition to host a DNS zone. Here's how you can use each tool: Using ntdsutil: Open Command Prompt or PowerShell with administrative privileges. Type "ntdsutil" and press Enter to open the ntdsutil command-line utility. I don't think this is possible in DNS Manager, this would require dnscmd.exe or ntdsutil.edxe (which is not included in the possible answers)
