Selected Answer: B
The design process by which a firm structures and manages the supply chain to achieve optimization is called B. network planning. Network planning involves designing the firm’s supply chain network in a way that aligns with the company’s strategic objectives. It includes determining the optimal number and location of production sites, warehouses, and distribution centers, as well as the best routes and transportation methods to minimize costs and maximize efficiency. This strategic approach helps in balancing supply and demand, reducing costs, and improving service levels across the supply chain.
