Security Group as it is the firewall for Aamzon instances whereas AMAZON NACL works at the VPC Level and AWS WAF (Web Application firewall ) works at the application level

Inbound rules control the incoming traffic to your instance, and outbound rules control the outgoing traffic from your instance. When you launch an instance, you can specify one or more security groups. "

A security group acts as a virtual firewall for an Amazon EC2 instance. It controls inbound and outbound traffic at the instance level and provides a set of rules (security group rules) that determine what traffic is allowed to reach the EC2 instance and what traffic is allowed to leave from it.
