Answer is A, BUT the reason you have chosen On-Demand may be that it runs for 1 year. However, Std Reserved Instance offers savings up to 75% off On-Demand -- cheapest and most economical option.

Selected Answer: A
Option A - Standard Reserved instnces is the option and the biggest hint for that is the instance size would remain fixed. The elimination approach is here It would be for 1 year - so cancelling On demand instances - OPtion B The application shuld always be runing which means it cannot be interruppted- So cancelling Option C - as it is not application that can be interupted The instance size is suitable for the workload , hence we dont need to change the instance size any time - this cancels Convertible reserveed instance option as these instance are for applications where we require to change the instance type , size , family

In this question, the core point sentence is that 'The instance sizes are suitable for the workload.' There is no change on the instance spec for a year, no need to use convertible RI. So the answer is A! not D

Selected Answer: A
A. Standard Reserved Instances "Standard Reserved Instances provide you with a significant discount (up to 72%) compared to On-Demand Instance pricing, and can be purchased for a 1-year or 3-year term. Customers have the flexibility to change the Availability Zone, the instance size, and networking type of their Standard Reserved Instances. Purchase Convertible Reserved Instances if you need additional flexibility, such as the ability to use different instance families, operating systems, or tenancies over the Reserved Instance term. Convertible Reserved Instances provide you with a significant discount (up to 66%) compared to On-Demand Instances and can be purchased for a 1-year or 3-year term." https://aws.amazon.com/ec2/pricing/reserved-instances/pricing/

Selected Answer: A
Standard Reserved Instances provide a significant cost-saving opportunity for long-term, steady-state workloads. By purchasing Reserved Instances, the company commits to a specific instance configuration, including instance type, region, and term (1 year in this case). This commitment allows the company to benefit from a lower hourly rate compared to On-Demand Instances. Since the workload is expected to run continuously for a year, the company can confidently make the upfront payment and reserve the instances for that duration. This provides cost predictability and significant savings compared to using On-Demand Instances throughout the year.
