b -Hosting a MySQL database on an EC2 instance, you will be able to choose the underlying building blocks such as operating system, storage settings, and database configuration, giving you full control and flexibility over your MySQL database and surpassing the limitations of Amazon RDS, while also leveraging all the advantages of the AWS Cloud platform and services.

Selected Answer: B
The only service where you can manage the OS is EC2. The others are managed by AWS so the answer is B

Amazon EC2 is a compute service that allows you to rent virtual machines (VMs) on AWS. This means that you have full control over the operating system, database installation, and configuration. Here are some of the benefits of using Amazon EC2 to host MySQL databases: Full control: You have full control over the operating system, database installation, and configuration. Flexibility: You can choose the type of VM that you need, the amount of storage that you need, and the region that you want to host your databases in. Cost-effectiveness: You can only pay for the resources that you use.

Selected Answer: B
The AWS service that would best fit the requirements of the company is Amazon EC2 (B). Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) is a web service that provides resizable compute capacity in the cloud, allowing users to create and run virtual machines (instances) on Amazon's infrastructure. With Amazon EC2, users have full control over the operating system, database installation, and configuration. This means that the company can install and configure MySQL as they see fit, giving them complete control over their databases.

To maintain full control over the operating system, database installation, and configuration, the company should use Amazon EC2 to host their MySQL databases on AWS. Amazon EC2 provides full administrative access to the underlying operating system and hardware, giving users complete control over the configuration and management of their environment. This allows users to install and configure the specific software versions and components required for their database environment, including MySQL. Amazon RDS, on the other hand, is a managed database service that provides automated database administration, backup and recovery, and scaling capabilities. While Amazon RDS supports MySQL databases, users do not have access to the underlying operating system and hardware, and therefore cannot have full control over the installation and configuration of their databases.
