AWS Regions are a component of the AWS Global Infrastructure. AWS Regions are geographic locations around the world where AWS resources and services are available. Each AWS Region is isolated and independent, consisting of multiple Availability Zones. The AWS Global Infrastructure is the collective term for the network of AWS Regions and Availability Zones spread across different geographic locations.
