Suggested Answer: A 🗳️
AWS Direct Connect makes it easy to establish a dedicated network connection from your premises to AWS. Using AWS Direct Connect, you can establish private connectivity between AWS and your datacenter, office, or colocation environment, which in many cases can reduce your network costs, increase bandwidth throughput, and provide a more consistent network experience than Internet-based connections.
By using industry standard 802.1q VLANs, this dedicated connection can be partitioned into multiple virtual interfaces. This allows you to use the same connection to access public resources such as objects stored in Amazon S3 using public IP address space, and private resources such as Amazon EC2 instances running within an Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) using private IP space, while maintaining network separation between the public and private environments.

Selected Answer: A
A and D are possible answers. A seems preferred to me. A. With VLAN you can access both public and private resources with a single dedicated direct connect connection, tongue twister :-). https://docs.aws.amazon.com/directconnect/latest/UserGuide/Welcome.html. Surly you can use separate CDX No question about B and C D. I would choose this one if A is not a choice, as DX *in many cases can* reduce the cost

It's A unfortunately...But it should be A and D. Documentation does say Direct Connect can be cheaper in some cases. I think thats BS and very rare cases. This is a sales question that shouldn't be on the test.

Depends, if you heavily use your VPN connection, you end up with higher costs compared to using Direct Connect instead.

Correct Answer is A see the difference in question they mentioned TWO DIFFERENT CONNECTIONS https://aws.amazon.com/directconnect/ see upper case info AWS Direct Connect lets you establish a dedicated network CONNECTION between your network and one of the AWS Direct Connect locations. USING INDUSTRY STANDARD 802.1Q VLANS, THIS DEDICATED CONNECTION CAN BE PARTITIONED INTO MULTIPLE VIRTUAL INTERFACES. Virtual interfaces can be reconfigured at any time to meet your changing needs.

Agree Answer A, because AWS Direct Connect will save your cost. "Data transfer pricing over Direct Connect is lower than data transfer pricing over the internet. " https://aws.amazon.com/getting-started/hands-on/connect-data-center-to-aws/services-costs/

D is bloooooody expensive if there are a lot of network traffic from AWS to on-premise DC via Direct Connect. DX cannot reduce network costs, only do secure...

Amazon wants you to answer A. You need to assume it reduces your network costs, even though at the long run, it doesn't when you consider the overall picture.

A can not be correct, while it does have public and private interface, it won't "maintaining network separation" as both public and private interface are just different VLAN on the same Port (LAG)
