AWS KMS supports both asymmetric key cryptography and symmetric key cryptography. With asymmetric key cryptography, you can use key pairs consisting of a public key and a private key for encryption and decryption. Symmetric key cryptography, on the other hand, uses a single shared key for both encryption and decryption. AWS KMS allows you to create and manage both types of keys, enabling you to encrypt and decrypt data using asymmetric key pairs or symmetric keys depending on your requirements.
